In the 20th century, if you ordered pizza, Chinese, or sub sandwiches, you knew your pizza was going to be delivered by a kid in a crappy car or even a bike. It’s become a cultural icon having a pizza delivery man a common sight in day to day life.
In the 21st century, this is going to be a thing of the past. Drones are poised to take over this industry and cultural icon.
The delivery method is pretty innovative as well. The drone won’t be knocking at a door to give your burger to you. Other drone delivery services have used GPS mixed with a “landing marker” for precision delivering. A simple call or text could notify you that your package had arrived in your backyard.
Companies such as Domino’s and Chipotle have experimented with this as a delivery program. UberEats has also recently launched a service, which could expand it to any and all food restaurants.
Drones are ready and willing to replace many jobs and make them easier as well. They bring with them a future that is like something straight out of a science fiction show from the 50’s!
